Compare before you move on

Most people use one calculator to answer the first question and a related tool to pressure-test the decision.

What this calculator shows

Hourly pay is easy to understand day to day, but harder to compare with salaried jobs or yearly budget targets until you convert it.

This calculator uses the schedule you actually expect to work, which matters when unpaid time off, seasonal hours, or a second hourly job change the annual total.

How to use it

  1. 1. Enter the hourly rate you want to convert.
  2. 2. Add the expected work hours per week and weeks per year for the main job, then fill in the optional second-job fields if you need them.
  3. 3. Review the annual, monthly, and weekly income equivalents.

Formula and assumptions

Annual pay for each job = hourly rate x hours per week x weeks per year.

Total weekly pay combines the weekly pay from each job, and monthly pay equals total annual pay divided by 12.

Notes

This is a gross-pay conversion and does not include overtime premiums, bonuses, benefits, or taxes.

Worked example

A $28 hourly rate across a standard full-time schedule gives a cleaner annual comparison point.

FAQ

FAQ

Why does the annual figure change if I use 50 weeks instead of 52?

Because the calculator multiplies the hourly wage by the number of paid weeks you enter, so fewer work weeks produce less annual income.

FAQ

Does this include overtime pay?

No. This calculator assumes the same hourly rate for all hours and does not model overtime rules.

FAQ

Can I include a second hourly job?

Yes. Fill in the optional second-job fields if you want the totals to include another hourly role or recurring shift stream.
